What am I going to do with 3 kids?!

Hahaha- made you look! :-)

My 11 year old niece is here to stay with us for the summer.  She's going to be my helper and just needed a change of scenery.  She'll be home with me Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, and will stay with other family Tue, Wed, Thur while I'm in the office.  Help me think of some good activities for a 6 month old, 3 year old, and 11 year old?

    as long as she is a good kid, cooperative and all, she should be a HUGE helper.  Especially like at the pool or running errands because she'll be an extra set of hands.  I don't know how different 11 is from almost 9 but Emma mostly just wants me to leave her alone and let her read, play w/ her ipod, play on the computer, etc.  She'll play outside w/ a friends but she isn't interested in play w/ me anymore.  Oh, get some sidewalk chalk, thats a cheap, easy time waster.

    let her help you!  seriously!  I hired a mother's helper for the summer and she plays with the older boys while I 1) take care of Kellen, 2) make dinner 3) laundry, 4) clean house, 5) meal plan and make grocery list.....and recently I decided it was OK to leave her at home with the boys while I run down the street to grocery shop so now I don't have to do it on the weekends!  So seriously, let her help with Gavin while you tote around Sophie!  or vice versa!  And if you want fun stuff, let her help you at the pool, splashgrounds, etc.  I know with the age difference of the kids, Sophie can't really do much yet, so you and her can take turns, like she can sit with the baby while you go run around with Gavin, mommy and Gavin time!!!  Or she runs with Gavin and you play with Sophie!  but basically any of the fun stuff you normally do with Gavin, will be fun for her too and she'll love being the big helper (holding hands, playing with them while you pack bags, etc).  enjoy the help!!
