Hospital bed rest until arrival of babies...

Recently, I was thinking about how nice it would be to have more time to chat and post on TB. I guess I will be getting that extra time now...

My water broke Wednesday at 26w4d. It was pretty scary because I was home by myself and had to call 911 for an ambulance and my husband works an hour away. When we got to the hospital, I started having contractions. Long story short, I have been put on hospital bed rest until the babies have to be delivered. They said they it could be days, weeks, or even months. Obviously, the longer we can keep them in the better. They are so tiny. Our little boy is 2 lb 4 oz and our girl is 1 lb 14 oz.

Sooooo.....you will probably be seeing a lot more of me on TB since I suddenly have plenty of free time on my hands!

Oh goodness hun, I'm sorry! I'm glad that everything is ok though. Try to relax and keep cooking those babies for as long as possible!

Oh and can I have a quick vent too.... Tomorrow was supposed to be our co-ed baby shower/cook-out/party. 50 of our family members and closest friends were supposed to be there. I am totally bummed. Sad

I'm so sorry you are joining the hospital bed rest club - it sucks! I'm going on 2+ weeks now myself - different reasons though. Praying your LO's can hang in there for as long as possible. I know how scary it feels to just be waiting around for something to happen. During the week there is a supportive daily check-in group for us bed resting mamas on the high risk pregnancy board.
