Trip to L&D

 My bp has been running high for the past few days.  Called the dr on call last night and she told me to take it this morn again and call with the #s.  So my dr called me back this morn and wanted me to come in for an appt.  I went in at 145 and was told by the nurse my bp was still really high so she went to get the dr.  He came in cked it himself and said yes its to high and wanted me to go right up to L&D.  After being hooked up to so many things, having my blood taken, having an u/s and starting a 24 hr urine I was told things looked good with both I and baby so I could go home but needed to be on bedrest this weekend.  I have to do the 24 hr urine thing (keeping pee in the fridge is so nasty!!!) and have to see the dr on Tues.  I did get to see lil man and he was moving around like CRAZY!  When they went to put me back on the monitor after the u/s he kept moving and making it very hard to get a good heart beat.  He is getting so big and from what the u/s showed he is measuring about a week early.  So that's my story and I REALLY hope that was the last time in L&D till little man gets here.  Def scared me to death but I am glad that I went and know everything is okay!  Just thought I would share.

    Sounds scary, but I'm glad to hear your little man is safe in there and can safely bake a little longer! Get some rest!

    I'm glad things looked good. And I have to laugh about the pee in fridge. My H was mortified that there was a jug of pee in our fridge yesterday. Then to top it off I made him carry it in to my appointment because it was pretty dang full and I'm not supposed to carry anything. He wasn't too happy with me ;)
    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.
