Anyone going to Cars 2 this weekend?

DD has never been to a movie, but she loves, loves, loves Lightening McQueen. We want to take her to Cars 2, but I'm worried that it will be a total nightmare if we go this weekend. Any experience with opening weekend of big shows like this one? Should we go for it?

    It's going to be 110+ this weekend, by the way, so we're a bit desperate for fun INDOOR activities!

    I'm taking DS tomorrow by himself since DD is spending the weekend with my parents. So far he hasn't made it through an entire movie and usually I take DD and meet up with friends so I can walk him around and let DD stay at the seat. I figure if he can't handle it tomorrow we'll just leave but we're definitely going to try!

    Yes we are going to an early mid morning showing.  DS has been talking about it for a month now and it will be his first movie!!

    We went last night and it wasn't nearly as crowded as I thought. We went to a 6:15pm showing so I don't know if that was just a less popular time or what, but it wasn't packed. DS did pretty well. It was his first movie and he made it through. He talked a little through the movie, but of course it was mainly young kids in there so it's not like he was the only one talking.

    I was definitely planning on it and DS was SO excited, and then I was put on bedrest. :(

    But-- as soon as this bedrest is over in 3 weeks, I will be taking him!

    We went to the first showing yesterday morning.  I would say DS was about 80% good throughout the movie.  DH and I sat with DS in between us, so when he lost attention, he was able to stand up and have a small amount of room to "walk around."

    We thought it was a pretty cute movie, despite the reviews.

    We went yesterday and I was so proud of DS, he did great! It was not nearly as crowded as I thought it would be. I was surprised at how violent the movie was. We didn't think it was as good as the first, but still very cute!

    We went this morn. Olivia loves the movies lol I also thought that it would be packed and it wasn't as bad
