i feel lucky

obviously a lot's gone on over the last few weeks which leads to a lot of thinking and evaluating life and such. and in spite of the fact that there have been some big bumps in the road lately, i'm feeling really lucky right now.

i have one beautiful, thriving nine-month-old. there are a lot of women over on infertility veterans that would be thrilled to have just that. so i'm feeling very grateful for my LO, even though i may not be able to get what i want in terms of having a second or third anytime soon. i have a marriage that's working pretty well in spite of the stresses of parenthood. i have a job that i like, and even though i don't make a ton of money by middle class american standards, i make more than 99% of the people on the planet, so i'm trying to be grateful for this relative prosperity.

and, DH is buying me new shoes for our anniversary. what more could a girl want?  ;)

    Glad you are able to feel thankful after all you've been through. It always feels good to me to put things in perspective and look at things in a different light. Kudos to you!
