i am soooo freaking jealous of all you ladies that already have your crib and have found out the gender! SO JEALOUS! i feel so far behind- i dont get to find out the gender for another 2.5 weeks, and i want a white crib if its a girl and a dark wood crib for a boy. but at this point i'm feeling so anxious to just get SOMETHING i may just go buy a dark wood crib and who cares either way lol

    I think you can make dark wood or white work either way.  We are doing white for a boy.

    You think you're behind?  I finally hit the 13 week mark today.  With a Dec 30 estimated due date, that means only a handful of ladies have a later date for this month.

    I would relax. If you want to get the crib now, go ahead.  White or dark wood can work for either gender, though I find dark wood is more versatile.

    I did nothing, zilch until I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with DS. I waited until after all the showers and we moved into a new house. Trust me, there is no rush!

    I am only 13.5 weeks and I, too, am VERY jealous of all the people who are farther along. I don't have my ultrasound for 6 more weeks!! I did buy the crib today but feel like it is still pretty early. Someone just posted that they are an onion now, and I was weak with envy.

    I'm with you! I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and I find out the gender exactly 3 weeks from today. I REALLY want to buy baby stuff, but DH doesn't want to purchase until we know the gender. I may have convinced him to go to some yard sales/consignment shops tomorrow, though, so at least we can window shop! :D

    We won't find out the sex for another 3 weeks! However, we did buy the nursery furniture.

    I agree with OP that white is okay for a girl, but like dark wood for boys. I thought dark wood could work for either, so we went ahead and got it (espresso colored).

    This is totally what I was thinking!  I'm the caboose of this board so as long as you are ahead of me ladies you are not that far behind!!! Smile

    I am totally there with you - we won't find out the sex until the end of July. ::sigh:: it feels like forever away, I'll be almost 21 weeks. Oh well, we should have a very well defined baby during the anatomy scan.

    Yep : ) I'm only due Dec 29th too. Seems like it will take forever to find out about this one!

    I won't find out the sex until July 25th.  My doctor likes to wait until 20 weeks to do the a/s that way we are more likely to get a good picture of everything.

    I'm so bogged down with wedding plans that I haven't done any baby planning. I can't wait to start though! I actually find baby planning more exciting, since the wedding is just so big and overwhelming.

    I'm feeling behind too! I know we are all getting closer at the same rate, but so jealous of those who have been finding out the gender. I find out the gender Aug 9th. It seems so far away! DH and I are supposed to clean out the basement and the closet to the baby's room today since he's off.....but he called saying a friend wanted to hang out. sigh.
