My baby hates sleeping at night

I swear, 11pm comes around and LO starts refusing to sleep. It's not like he's sleeping great during the day either...but at least he'll sleep for maybe a 2 hour stretch every once and a while. But at night he is just whiny, cries, wants to breastfeed every 15 minutes. I try putting him down in different places, doing different things but nothing is working, it's like he just wants to make sure I get zero sleep from 11pm-9am. I'm losing my mind. Anybody else dealing with a difficult baby through the night every night?

    my baby hates to be put down for bed. just started putting him in his crib in his own room...sleeps for 2 hrs then is awake for nearly 2. i hope he gets over this soon.

    yes, we've been going through the same thing...every night is different but from what I understand most newborns are like this and it will get better in time.

    I'm with you!  LO loves to be awake between 12-6 am.  I think I am getting tendonitis from just holding him and soothing him!

    We were having that problem and the only thing that seemed to work was swaddling her at night but not during the day.  Now that I've said that though, watch it will stop working. ;-)
