Pregnant after a Loss

BPF 23w4d

I'm still 23w4d, since my doctor doesn't change dates, but we had another appt yesterday and baby boy is measuring 24w5d.  Woohoo!  He is a BIG little guy at 1 lb. 10 oz.

Also, a little vent......I wasn't planning on coming out on FB ever, but I decided to say something today and now I am feeling VERY anxious about it.  I kind of wish I didn't do it.  Ugh.  I just said something about hoping we bring this baby home in October.  Now I just feel sick about saying something and I don't know why.

Re: BPF 23w4d

  • You got a cute bump. I am sorry you are feeling nervous since coming out on facebook. You are going to be bringing home a healthy baby in October. I think it is part of PGAL. We have told both of our immediate families and a few people at my work know I kind of want to finish letting the good news spread but then I get nervous what if something happens.

  • You look great!  Don't beat yourself up over the announcement.  Maybe it'll make you feel better after some people comment!  I think being nervous is normal.

Try not to stress over the announcement.  I always found it hard whenever I initially told people, but then it was like a huge weight had been lifted.  Good luck!

  • Cute bump! It's hard to tell people for us PGAL mommas. We always have in the back of our head that something could go wrong. I bet you will get tons of positive responses though that make you feel better.

  • Love your bump - so perfect and round and cute!!

I think it's totally normal to be nervous about coming out on Facebook... it's a big deal to have it out there!  But I agree with Camden - when I did that, and even before then whenever I would tell someone - it was scary at first and then felt like a weight had been lifted.  It's fun to share the good news, even when it's nervewracking.  Smile

  • Love your bump EDD bud! So perfectly round and adorable.

I can see why you feel nervous on FB. I came out at 15 weeks and had a lot of anxiety even though we'd told so many people IRL already. It just opens up a whole new set of people you might have to share bad news with. But think of it this way, most likely nothing will go wrong and you will have a take-home baby to share photos of and joyous news about on FB. If something bad happens, you have another set of people to offer you support.

  • You look so great!  I got a little nervous after our FB announcement, but I feel like each person that knows about it increases my confidence and positivity.  It has really helped me be more positive about this pregnancy now that we are public. GL!
