Babies on the Brain

Mrs_Kelly

Hey!  I know it's probably really soon to be seeing any major results, but I was just wondering what your initial opinion of how the Manuka honey thing is going.

How is Colin feeling?

Edited to remove the extra L in Colin's name. I know a ColLin, so I always jump to spelling it that way.  I need to pay closer attention!

  • Hi! It's too soon to tell, unfortunately. Everything I've read says it takes a couple weeks to see improvement, but we are keeping his legs covered in it at all times. He seems to be feeling pretty well, and I actually think the honey might dull the itchy feeling, so that's a great thing!

  • Very cool!  I was reading a blog earlier (MRSA-ful) and was a little alarmed when she wrote that the honey could sting/burn a little when applied, but I guess it's temporary, and most likely anything would burn to rub into an open sore.

Yay for helping with the itching, though!

  • Yep, it does sting just a little, but not nearly as much as the other creams we were putting on him. He just tells us to "blow!" and we blow on his legs for a few seconds while the stinging goes away. :)

Aw!  That is so sad and cute at the same time.  Poor little guy!
