help me dress my boys

We're going to do photos in the next couple of weeks, and I need ideas for what to put them in. I do not want them to have matching shirts, but I want them to coordinate. Here's what we did last summer:

So I'd like to stay away from blue/green again like that.

And I don't want graphic tees that have pictures and words on them, and I swear that's all that anyone seems to sell for boys anymore. Stupid skulls and motorcycles and "born to be wild" on the shirts. I just want stripes or something that doesn't look mean/tough.

So where would you look??? HELP!

I've seen some really cute plaid button down shirts at Target and Fred Meyers. You could do some cute layering with those, or if its too warm, roll the sleeves to the elbow, with some khaki or grey cargos, etc.

This would be adorable! I love the plaid shirt look (too bad Bentley from the Bachelorette has sort of ruined this for me!)

I did pics of my kids for Father's Day and just put them in jeans and white t-shirts. I got the t-shirts at ON for $5 each. I have the photos on FB if you want to see how they turned out.

No specific suggestions, but I think deep red and brown is a great combo. If it seems too dark for summer, you could lighten it up in plaids or stripes with more white.

I always thought photographers didn't want you to wear white because it's hard to not blow it out in the sun? I'll check out some of the plaid suggestions.

I did just find this on Carters.... do you think Cooper's too old (21 months) to wear a romper thing like this:

That would be cute. Or you could a solid blue or grey for Cooper and strip for Ben.

I was at the Gap outlet yesterday, they had cute striped polos and some shortsleeve button up dress shirts you could do.

I just got Connor some cute plaid shorts and non graphic striped/colored polos at Gymboree Outlet for cheap! They had stuff in the boys and toddler stuff that coordinated color/style wise but wasn't exactly the same. I actually bought his shirts in the boys section and the shorts from the toddler side.

I would do jeans and a solid button up on B and a plaid button up on C. Or possibly with shorts, if it's actually warm. You could even get a solid clip on tie to go with C's outfit. SUPER cute!

IMO 21 months is too old for the romper..

Yeah probably. I just love the little rompers and And I just can't dress them old. I would never put a tie on even Ben. Just not my style. I found some thing that thu already own that might work. I'll take pics and try to post them tonight and see what you all think.
