Thinking about the "Are you prego?" comments when I return to work.

I keep thinking about how in 2 weeks i'm going to have to deal with all the comments (from my usual customers and others) of "are you pregnant?" and "oh, you still look pregnant!"and I'm not looking forward to it... I just wish people would think. If you are a woman and have had a child before you should know better. I have shapewear but its just smoothing me out and not really sucking me in, plus its not very comfortable with all the bending that I do at work and it gets hot. I hoped BFing would really help me shed the weight off but its not doing much for me. I have really been wanting to walk outside but its soo stinking HOT! I wish I had a pool or one to go to, that would help for sure.

  • I feel ya. I have the same problem, but mine is directly linked to diastasis recti. My abs are so wrecked that it will easily take a year of intense transverse abs training plus possible surgery to repair.

  • I've been back to work for a month now, and I have been asked that dreaded question twice. I think most of my customers knew I was pregnant, so they know to ask about my LO. But some are idiots and make me feel like a fat a$$ by asking me if I'm going to have a baby. I just tell them I just had a baby, and I'm still working on getting my pooch worked off! They feel bad, but they're the ones pointing out my fat!!
  • As terrible as it is to think of this, I wish I could tell you people were more sensitive than that, but they aren't!

The day Xander was born, I took a walk up and down the hallway in the evening to try to get moving as the nurse said it'd help with recovery. On my very slow, very obviously in pain walk back to the room, a women (maybe late 30s) came out of a different room and asked when my baby was due.... I WAS IN THE MOTHER BABY UNIT! SERIOUSLY?! I told her, "I had him this morning, funny I thought I'd be back in shape by now too!" And I still don't think it was snotty enough for how I was feeling.. I cried the next hour because of it and made my DH go home to get make up and my hair straightener. Hah. I'm sure you look better than you think you do, and hopefully, you get more questions about how great your LO Is doing than how you look!
