I'm such a newbie all over again ![]()
Did your 35 weekers take a little time to "catch up" or did they mainly act on their actual age from the get go? Did they have some lag?
I'm just curious.  Elliott is a really fussy kid - very little awake time and when he is he rages - just curious when he still start to show some early milestones like smiles, interest in toys, etc.  He is a month old but just 0 adjusted age!  I would expect some lag I guess, but not sure what is typical.  I'm just looking for some things to look forward to with this extremely fussy kid.
Re: 35-week preemie moms
K is 11 weeks (born at 35 weeks, measuring 32 weeks) and just this week did we start to get just a few smiles and cooing.
She also rolled over 4 times during tummy time on Sunday, but nothing since then.
I expect her to be slower than even most 35 weekers, but I really need some more soon!!

Zane was always about a month behind on milestones based on the other kids his age in our moms' group. He was born at 35.5wks and the only preemie in his age group. I'd say his being 'behind' lasted until about six months. He was late to smile, late to discover his hands, hold toys, roll over, etc.
Once he started solids and sitting up on his own, I stopped scrutinizing for differences. By that point, I knew that he was going to do everything in his own time. Now, he's ahead of some full term babies his age in some aspects (sippy cup, army crawling) and still behind other babies (not cruising yet).
Lol! I love big boys!
Zane was 7lb2oz at birth. I don't remember the percentiles from then, but he was on the charts. Now he is 26lb2oz and over 100th% for weight and head, 94th% for height.
Hey lemen, my fellow TAC mama!
Isaac has been consistently 3-5 weeks behind. He smiled for realz at about 8-10 weeks, then responsively at about 12. That was the hardest milestone because I just wanted him to like me! LOL.
Growth-wise, he's catching up but still has a teeny tiny head (50% for 35 weekers).
