Any other "Surprise" pregnancies out there?

Let me first say that I'm over the moon with my baby surprise!

After two beautiful kids, fertility issues and basically not taking any precautions for the last 5 years, I truly thought another baby just wasn't in the cards for us!  Lo and behold a BFP the day before my 40th!  So happy but a little freaked out too!

I think my hubby is having a hard time adjusting!  I know he's happy but it just hasn't sunk in yet and I kinda feel like I'm alone in this at the moment!  Hoping he'll be as excited as I am soon!

So are any of you expecting a little surprise of your own?  Anyone facing 40 out there?  Feeling a little nervous about being a little past my prime years!

    Congrats!! Well it wasn't really a surprise, except that is happened quicker than we expected. But I can relate to what you mean when you say "a little past my prime" ... I am 35 so I understand,  but hey 35-40 isn't what it used to be! Have you been on the 35+ board yet? Both are wonderful with great ladies!

    Me! I am 37 and I have a 7 and 10 year old. This #3 is a surprise! I found out last Monday. All I can think about is all the things I have to do again!.. But I will love it!

    I'm only 30 (31 in 2 weeks) but this baby was a surprise for me too. I was NOT expecting it! Hahaha!

    *raises hand* This pregnancy was a bit of a surprise, but we were planning on TTC next year anyway.  We're so excited for this baby, even if the timing isn't the best for us.

    Me!  We weren't going to start "trying" for at least another year, but we are over the moon about this baby :)

    We had IF issues and our first round of Femara turned out BFP. It was a suprise in that I expected it to take at least a few tries/treatments. After 3 losses I am still in disbelief. I will also be 35 in a month so I am hopeful this one sticks and we can be done TTC and our family complete.
    Oct 2008 m/c #1 5 weeks, May 2009 m/c #2 4w5d. BFP 6/23/09 EDD 3/8/10!

    Surprised for sure!  I was using a fertility monitor for the past 6 months.  We wanted to get pregnant, but after 3 months of trying we decided to pause the baby and book a Disney cruise with 20+ other family members.  I did all the research & was telling everyone that the baby either had to be 3+ months old or they couldn't be entering their 24th week.  Well, I was still using the fertility monitor & it tested as a low day & I knew medium & high days were coming so we took advantage of the low day to find out 2 weeks later that we are pregnant!  Guess when the cruise is booked????  The week after my due date!  My mom says that she's still taking my boys on the cruise... 

    We are also going to Disney tomorrow, I knew that the weather would be hot, but I didn't plan on being 7 weeks preggo, tired, and kinda nauseous!

    God's timing is not always my timing, but the end result will be perfect!

    I had a total surprise! My husband was the more super excited one calling everyone (he called my parents before I even thought to) and I was more shocked from the news. We werent trying at all for kids and then it just happened! **Freaking out with my first kids**

    My first was absolutely a surprise. I'd been told I just wouldn't be able to get pregnant, and I did. On my honeymoon.

    This time, we were trying, but were actually taking the month off because I was waiting for my first prescription of Clomid. Yup, I got pregnant the month before I was supposed to start taking it.

    We spent 2 years and a lot of heartache TTC our son but got the surprise of our lives when we found out about our February Lovebug. In fact just 4 days before our BFP we talked about the possibility of being one and done. Ooooops!!
    I have four angel babies in heaven, one sweet little man here on earth, and am praying to meet this newest little miracle. Pregnancy Ticker

    Ours is.  We weren't trying as I just had my gall bladder removed and we wanted to wait a few months.  Nope.  Apparently, we were going to have a baby.  Big Smile

    Mine is!! I just had my daughter almost 5 months ago and BOOM now I'm pregnant again. We were trying to be careful since I wasn't able to be on b/c cause it made my ppd worse. So we are completely surprised, we are thrilled that I'm pregnant but oh goodness think of 2 under 1 yrs old!!
