I keep crying whenver there are little blonde boys on TV....

I never expected to have blonde children.  I just didn't occur to me that they could possibly be blonde.  I have black hair...everyone in my family has super dark brown or black hair, with the exception of one blonde grandmother. 

Steven had blonde hair as a little boy, but it is super super dark brown now...and his Dad is blonde, but other than that?  ALL dark dark brown hair. 

Caroline looks just like me, except for the blonde hair.  I ADORE her blonde hair now, after it being sort of a shock when she was born.  I'm sure it will turn brown later on, but for now, I love my little blonde girl. 

Now, everytime I see a little blonde haired boy on TV, it makes me cry.  I keep thinking about how cute my husband was as a little boy...and how I am soooo excited about this little boy that is going to join my family in a few weeks.  I have this vision of him in my head, and of course, he's a little blonde boy...and I cannot wait to meet him...

I'm one big walking hormone, lol.

    This is so funny.  I too have black hair, almost blue black.  And Jude has a shock of white blonde hair.  It's so funny, I always pictured myself having dark-haired kids but my son couldn't be more opposite of me!  :)

    I'm the opposite.  When people ask me what my reaction was when I first held my son, I have to say that it was "whose baby is that?" because he had a full head of dark black hair.  I'm blond, dh has sandy brown hair - but not black.  DS's hair eventually fell out and came back a dark brown.  DD's hair is looking kind of dark too.  I am fascinated by genetics so it always intruiged me - I'm just still trying to figure out the dark black hair gene there.  I have no idea where it came from.

    3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
    IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again

    Aww...how cute are you and your hormonal self?! :) 

    I was shocked when DS had almost blonde hair when he was born...and its still a really light brown...bizarre, because DH and I looked pretty similar as babies and both had super super dark hair...we assumed we knew what DS would look like... :)

    This is how I was.  I wanted one so bad, DH has red hair/green eyes and he just doesn't understand why I would wish red hair on anyone.  He remembers being teased for being a redhead and polluted with freckles.  I have blah brown hair and eyes as do most of my family.  Well DS was born with a full head of red hair. He currently has strawberry blonde and blue eyes.  Some say it is really blonde, but there's a red hue to it.

    Awww...my girls are blonde so I'm sure Quincy would have been too. It's so sweet how excited you are for him. I love reading your posts.
