GIRL! ![]()
I still can't believe it......everyone is still so shocked. We broke the 5 straight generation of boys in DH's immediate line ![]()
Ava Fay was born yesterday morning at 10:28am weighing 6 lbs. 4 oz. She is 19 inches and our miracle! She is doing great!
I, on the other hand have not been doing that well
I had a VERY scary night last night.
I felt amazing after my c-section, in fact, I felt the best I have felt after any of them.
About 4 hours later, I started gushing blood.....and no one could get it to stop
There were tons of nurses and doctors in my room within minutes. My OB had gone home and was called immediately back in. We tried more Pit, Cytotec and some shot (Heptomite???). Nothing was working. So, we headed back to the OR where my OB was going to insert a balloon foley which would help push my uterus back into place and help it get firm. I was really scared. We also talked about blood transfusions.
Apparently, in the middle of the procedure I began to lose a lot of blood. They had to give me 2 units of blood and I was literally hallucinating. I have never experienced anything like it
I felt like I was flying through a psychadelic world....no joke. Everything was moving so fast and everything was bright neon.
I awoke to them wheeling me to ICU.....not OB triage where I was originally told I was going to be.
I spent the night in ICU and everything was very stable there (luckily). If I bled out more, the talk was about a Hysterectomy (after I just had my tubes tied.....).
They took out the balloon foley this morning and there was very little bleeding. *knock on wood* but I am doing much better and have had minimal bleeding. I am still really nervous, but grateful that my OB did the right things.
However, the bad part is that I was just able to get out of bed and walk a couple hours ago and it was beyond painful......with my other 2 sections, I was up and walking about 6 hours later. So, I am now dealing with this. I know I need to get up, but I am having a really hard time ![]()
That is all
We are so excited about our daughter and I can't wait to start shopping!!
I will try and post a pic later.....things have just been very crazy!!

Congrats on your baby girl!!
What a scary situation! I am so glad they got everything under control and I hope it stays that way. I know that pain you are talking about - when I had my one & only c-section, they didn't let me get up until the next morning and it was the most excruciating pain I've ever felt. I didn't want to move again! But it got better the more I got up and hopefully it will be the same for you
Wow - I'm sorry you had such a tough recovery! That sounds very scary and I hope the bleeding is all behind you now.
Congratulations on your little girl! How fun!!
Congratulations!! Enjoy your little girl! Hoping you have a speedy recovery! ::Huggs::
