With all the "Am I pregnant with twins?" and "I think I am having twins" posts we get - has anyone actually come back after posting really to be pregnant with twins?
I think one person did, once, but remember, I've been on here for four years. And I don't remember seeing her more than once. She was all snotty about it. (And probably a faker.)
Anyone remember the one that was "repregnant" and she felt herself "oblivate" twice so she thought she was having twins. She came back the next day with a picture of her holding an ultrasound that showed she was having twins...
Livian Elizabeth and Alayna Marjorie! On their way to 3!
I've noticed these posts. And how irksome most find them. But here's what I can't figure out about these posts... why?
why post that? i just can't figure out the motivation.
or the motivation to post MUD...
I am happy I came rediscovered these boards and since I don't have too many people IRL I can ask things about preparing for multiples. So I don't know what would make someone else come here for any other reason than community and learning/sharing.

I still didn't believe her.

I think many come here A- because they want us to confirm what they are feeling means they are having twins or B-they have this fascination with multiples. I don't understand that...I mean, it IS pretty cool and all but I never had a fantasy about having twins. The opposite, really, is true for me...I know they will be wonderful and I will love them to pieces, but I'm pretty realistic in understanding the work that comes along with it, not to mention the financial burden.

I never wanted twins or any multiples of any kind. But now that I am pregnant with 2 already beautiful little girls, I couldn't see my life without them. I couldn't imagine losing either or both of them. I know it's going to be financially hard and emotionally and physically exhausting, but I am up for the challenge. I don't understand the people that come on here and ask dumb questions like you all are talking about... and I haven't even been a part of this board for very long.

I too recall a snotty "I told you so" update from a lady (for some reason I feel she was from Colorado?) who basically "chewed us out" after her initial post about thinking she might have twins due to her increased m/s. I don' t think we gave her the standard "Welcome and Congrats x2!" after her follow-up rant

Haha, I agree. To be honest I didn't know there was even a multiples board until I found out I was having twins. Then I was like, "Ooh I wonder if there's a "Twins" board and starting looking in the Ts..hmm Toddler, TTC..."

Same here! I was shocked enough to find out we were expecting.. then twins?!? I knew I was going to need A LOT of advice from people who actually knew what they were talking about!

Yeah the two people I remember are the lady peakay mentioned and the "oblivate" person.
But, like everyone else said, I didn't necessarily believe them.

Yes, I was going to mention this one too.
