Speaking of craigslist...

I responded to a job posting on craigslist the other day.  It sounds great, just a few hours a week working from home but you have to live in the Augusta area to be available for meetings 2/3 times a month.  I thought it was definitely worth looking into. 

I emailed the guy and asked if the position was still available and he said yes and asked me to send him my resume.  So he calls me today, we talk for a bit, everything "sounds" legit and of course he wants to meet face to face to get into the details or whatever.  They haven't opened the Augusta office yet and he works from home for the most part but he asked me if I would meet him at the Starbucks closeby.  That's safe, right? I mean, of course I'm going to tell my husband exactly where I'm meeting him so someone will know where I am but I just wanted to run this by you guys and make sure I'm not being completely naive and about to walk into some kind of craigslist kidnapping, LOL (<--or maybe not LOL?!)

    I met a woman downtown at a restaurant for an interview once for a school that hadn't been built.  I think as long as you are in a pretty public place and have your cell phone its ok.  Maybe you can have a friend or DH go along and sit at another table?

    I think it is safe. It's a public place and if it seems fishy when you arive, you can just leave.

    I would be comfortable with that.  Having someone else you know sit nearby is a good idea though.

    Yes, I think its safe.  You are taking the right precautions letting someone know though.  I read an article recently that Starbucks has become the Small Business Owners corner office.  Hahaha- guess so.

    Okay, well I'm meeting him this afternoon at 11:30.  Cross your fingers for me please, this might work out to be an awesome opportunity and I can't wait to tell y'all all about it!
