nbr: chiropractors, again... (eastgate area)

I know I've asked this before.  I can't find the post.

So...  eastside ladies...  reco a good chiropractor.  Preferably one that is gentle and has a massage therapist on staff.

Thanks!

Re: nbr: chiropractors, again... (eastgate area)

  • I saw Dr. Bliss, twice. I liked (not loved) the overall care. I really only chose his office for two reasons: (1) he also offers acupuncture treatments (also covered by my insurance) and (2) his office bills insurance (as very few acupuncture specialists do NOT, and the same trend seems to be growing in chiros offices, as well). Anyway, I balked at his plan of treatment, which was going to exceed 20+ treatments in less than 8 weeks. I argued (shocking, huh?) with the receptionist about how they were going to bill the treatments (double the co-pays), then just walked out and decided not to return.

That said, I'm also looking for a new office. I'm thinking about scheduling an appointment with https://www.pollardchiropractic.info/.

  • We see Dr. Jack Hendricks at Clearly Chiropractic (on Nordica off Beechmont).  We've been going there for years and he has adjusted me, DH and all my kids and we highly recommend him.  He does not have a massage therapist on staff however.

513-474-9377 and I have their facebook page "liked" if you want to get more info there.

Just for the record, they don't bill insurance, either.

  • I couldn't find anyone who would bill my insurance anyway.  Out of pocket it is $35 per visit and they also offer individual/family plans that are very reasonable.

On a personal note, I have justified the cost because that isn't much different than a doctor's visit co-pay and I consider it preventative.  I've been able to avoid seeing our regular doctors and taking medication (another expense) for things like sinus infections, ear infections, headaches, injuries, etc. as well as I just feel better when I'm following my treatment plan.

Kessler, thanks for the reco.  TTT- I'm not looking to bill insurance... I need to spend some FSA money, pronto, and my upper back is overly stiff.  I feel like I need to pop it all. the. time.
