I don't know if I'm missing something simple here, or if it's just that I have no a/c and am asleep during the day, but I drink all. freaking. night. at work. We're talking 16 oz an hr, every hour, for the entire 8 hours. (it keeps me awake and gives me an excuse to get up and walk to the bathroom as often as possible) After I'm home, go to bed, and wake up though, I'm puffy and swollen and feel generally miserable until I have a few glasses of water. My first pee of the morning is really really dark and smells strongly. PMS is not helping, as it only intensifies this problem. Anyone else have this issue? How do you fix it?
Re: how do you stay hydrated overnight?
blah. It's not necessarily that the pee is concentrated, I think that's normal, it's that it's definintely indicative of me being super dehydrated. Like the color charts in the back of all the stalls at basic lol. I've tried just chugging water like mad right before I fall asleep but that doesn't do anything but make me wake up to pee. I just hate feeling so puffy in the mornings. Drenched in sweat + retaining water + eyes crusted shut + stumbling down the stairs for a drink of water = not the sexiest thing ever.
We have 3 fans in our bedroom, and it doesn't really help any. It's just really annoying.
Maybe try drinking Gatorade before you go to bed?

I thought it was normal to have dark "dehydrated" pee in the morning. I have my whole life.
I have definitely woken up a tad swollen and dying of thirst, but I sleep through the night (for the most part) so there's not much I can do about it.
