Just curious if you think your video monitor is worth it? LO has reflux and I am so nervous to put her in her own room but she's outgrown the bassinet. Wondering if the video monitor will help ease my mind
I kind of wish I would have registered for one so I wouldn't have to buy it. We just have the normal audio kind.
I watched my friends baby a few night ago though and she has a video monitor. It was kind of nice to just be able to flip it on and see what he was doing in there. It's a lot easier than when I want to check on my lo and try to sneak quietly into the room and softly dim the lights.
Personally, I think you'd worry either way but the video monitor makes it a little easier to check up one them.
Yes! We have the Easy Touch and originally had the Sleek and Slim, both by Summer! Go for the better, more expensive one! It is much better quality and it also rotates, has night vision, and comes with a portable battery pack to move the camera from room to room if the baby is somewhere other than her nursery.
Our LO is six weeks and she started sleeping in her crib three days ago. I was nervous, but I knew I had her on the monitor whenever I needed to check on her.
YES! I have the Summer Baby Touch. I had the Angelcare moment video monitor and loved the idea of it but got too many false alarms. I ditched it and bot the Snuza Halo and Summer Baby Touch. Now LO sleeps in his room and I get a better sleep b/c his grunts don't keep me awake or make worried anymore. Its the perfect combo of equipment to give me the peace of mind that I need

I LOVE our video monitor! LO had really bad reflux in the beginning and i was in the same position as you. The video monitor is just the best, I can see her every time I turn over. I got ours bought from my registry and I don't think I would of paid for the expensive one that we got bought as good and clear as it is, any video would do the trick.

I bought the brand new angelcare 3 in one video/movement monitor. I returned it because you can barely see the image on the tiny screen. We bought a cheap 40 dollars baby monitor and it work just fine. Video will be fine if it was a gift. I won't spend too much on it.
I love ours. When I think I hear her in the middle of the night, I can flip on the monitor and check to see if she's awake. It's so much better than getting out of bed if I don't have to!
Yes. Ours was a shower gift, but even if we hadn't received it, we would have bought it ourselves. H and I are too nosy for our own good and we would have ended up waking DD so many times were it not for the video.
Yes! Ours was a baby gift, but I love it. She hasn't started sleeping in her crib at night though--just during the day. (We are going away next week and didn't want to start to transition her at night and then mess it up). We have pets and they aren't allowed in her room, so her door is always closed-even when she is in there. It makes it so much better for me to get stuff done during the day when she is sleeping, because I don't worry as much.
Yes! Worth every penny. LO has reflux also. In the middle of the night, I just glance over at the monitor and know that everything is A-OK. We have the Summer monitor.
It's also great when I'm taking a shower and cna look over at the monitor to see what DD is up to.
