wwyd? sleeping help

LO wakes up in the middle of the night and early morning if she sleeps in her crib

buuuuuuut...if she sleeps in the 'rock and play sleeper' she sleeps through the night

i've been told by a few people that she needs to sleep in her crib to get used to it for the long run but ive also been told that whatever helps her sleep better to do it

what do you guys think?

Re: wwyd? sleeping help

  • My DD slept in the RNP until she was basically almost flipping out of it at night. We've just recently transitioned her into the crib (for about 2 weeks now), and it has been tough. So I guess I would say to try and do the transition to the crib now or soon, because you don't want to wait like us until your LO could potentially fall out of it and you have no other option!

  • The crib. The earlier you train her to sleep there, the better off you are. It's not every two hours or anything that she's waking up and it probably will be just a couple nights and she'll return to STTN.

  • At this age I'd say get her in the crib.  She'll get the idea after a few nights.
  • It took about 3 nights for me to get J used to sleeping in his crib.  Once we started there was nooooo turning back.  I went to him every wake up the first night.  Then...I ignored some of his wake ups so he knew...it was time to sleep and it was happening in the crib!!!  I think your LO will enjoy stretching out and possibly rolling over.
