Sometimes when I'm in line at Starbucks, I just want to order a grande cup filled with nothing but whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and toasted coconut sprinkles.
They'll still repeat it back to you in a different ingredient order as if you said it wrong...
(otherwise go for it!)
That's cause they're trained to say it size, milk, modifications, drink. Always, always!
And now I totally want a giant bowl of whipped cream...
This - my skiddo manages a Starbucks and it ensures that they're making the right drink.... When you have new employees that are having a hard time with that and inpatient folks who don't want to wait for their coffee to be made over, it's important!

I worked at Tully's so I always get the order "wrong" at Starbucks. We were trained that decaf (if applicable) always came first because it was supposedly the most important piece of info. Then iced (if needed), shots (if different), size, milk, flavor, drink.
So, what would proper Starbucks-speak be for a decaf iced triple grande nonfat vanilla latte?
