help! water?!?!

I have my first ultrasound at 3pm (in 45 min). They said to drink 2 glasses of water 1 hour beforehand. I already have to pee, majorly, I feel like I am going to explode!! Can I pee a little bit and then drink more water?

Re: help! water?!?!

  • I would definatly pee now. The way they jab at you with that wand, you're going to pee all over them!!

By the time you start the proceedure, I'm sure your bladder will fill again and they'll be none the wiser.

  • Pee now!  You can't drink more and then hold it for an hour - that's crazy talk!

  • You and I have the same due date! How are your symptoms? Mine are slowly going away and I am starting to get energy back. Just curious if you are feeling any better or worse? Jan 6 sure is close to X-mas and New Year's! but I am hoping to make it at least until my due date.

    Just wanted to say hi!

    Congrats!

  • i don't know about you, but I can't "pee a little" LOL.  Once I'm going, i'm going!

If you can't hold it don't torture yourself!  Pee and then drink a lot!  Or maybe have some caffeine since it's a diuretic and it will speed up your pee process! LOL.

    Have fun/good luck!

Awww, that's sweet of you! Hi back :-) Glad to hear your symptoms are getting better as well. I def. have a lot more energy as of the last week and a half or so, and not sick at all. It's nice to be back to "normal". I had my first OB appointment today and my due date stayed the same so I'm still geared up for a post- new year's baby! Is this your first???

And Debbie, lol you're right, it's hard to pee a little! I let it all go! But when the OB was pointing everything out (ie. this is the baby's leg, etc etc, he said "and this is your bladder- thanks for making it so full btw!". I was like "ha!!! fooled you!!"..
