I just looked up the Drive In that is in Avon. https://vintagedrivein.com/
They now require a food permit ($5) if you bring in your own snacks and drinks. Is this new or have you done it before? We haven't been in years, not even sure we would take R....if the first movie isn't until 9:30pm he will be asleep already!
I think we saw March of the Penguins now that I think of it. We had our own food and it wasn't an additional charge.
I guess paying $5 and bringing in our own stuff is still cheaper that paying concession prices.
Re: Vintage Drive In (S/O of Cars 2 post)
that kinda sucks... it's one of the perks of going to the drive-in, bringing your own food. I remember going to the drive in as a kid and my parents would let us get McDonalds (which was very rare!) and I thought it was sooo cool!
I just looked up the info at our drive-in, and it just says no cooking, grilling or onsite preparation of food.
We've been to Vintage Drive In this year, and also shamefully brought our own food in without paying the $5 fee. As long as your food isnt out in plain sight when you pay, you should be good to go. When we paid they asked if we had any food with us that we were bringing in, we just said no (
) and that was that. The food there is not very great IMO so I don't feel too bad about it, especially since we wouldn't have ordered food anyway.
have fun if you go!
