I was reading roll call from last night and noticed you said you were worried about having a FB account because of your middle school kids.  I also am a teacher (5th and 6th grade) and I have a FB account.  I was worried about my kids finding me but not sure if you know that you can make it so they can't find you.  I have my FB set at the highest level of privacy settings.  I just wanted to share the info in case you didn't know Smile

    I taught middle school when I got a facebook and high school now. 

    Obviously, like irelandsangel said, if you want to do it, change all your privacy settings to be super strict.  Also, in order to make it almost impossible to find/search for me I hypenated my maiden name and last name and used an email address no one has.  In four years on FB, I have never had a student successfully find me even though they tell me all the time that they tried :)
