Glucola test

Is anyone else having to do an early glucola test?
Since my son (13 years ago) was 9 lbs 11 oz, my doc said she wants to err on the side of caution and have me do the 1 hour test within the next couple days. I'll have to do it again at 7 months. 

Ugh, I absolutely HATE this test!!!

    I requested mine early. During testing for the RE we found out I am insulin resistant and barely passed the three hour GTT. I am doing the one hour test in two weeks (I'll be 13w1d) and if I pass it, I will repeat it again between 20-24 weeks, when my OB typically has patients do it. I'm not taking any chances with GD.
    After TTC with IR PCOS:
    April 2011: Metformin 1500mg + Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel + Prometrium = BFP!
    Beta #1 at 14DPO: 197 Beta #2 at 18DPO: 1296

    I am opting out and will be testing my glucose with a finger prick over a week instead. My OB gave me a choice since I did the finger prick last time.  It wasn't so bad and I hear horror stories about the glucose test.  But I won't be doing it until much later.

    My doctor said that as long as my urine continues to show no traces of glucose that he does not think it will be necessary for me to do the test at all. I'm totally fine with it.

    I asked my Doc, and he literally said "Well, for now, we'll just pretend that you don't have it and test you during the normal time"

     ooook no complaints here. I barely failed my 3-hour by 1 blood draw, so he isn't super worried.

    I had GD with my son, so I am having the Glucose test at 20 weeks and then again at 28 weeks to check.  I always pick the lemon lime flavor because I find it the least repulsive.

    I had it done early too because my first baby was 8 lbs 13 oz. I passed but will have to do it again at 28 weeks.

    I have to do an early one too cause my DD was also 9 lbs 11 oz. When I was preg with her I failed my 1hr barely passed the 3hr so my dr called it borderline gestational. Keeping my fingers crossed I pass this time.
