I hope no one feels like these daily posts are becoming too much of the saga of Heather's left foot. But guess what? I actually managed to walk yesterday! DH and I took a sloooooooow 30 minute walk and I wasn't limping. We went to the grocery store after I picked him up from work, and I kind of used the cart like a walker, letting it support my weight so I could walk without limping. By the end of the shopping it was like my foot had calmed down somehow, as though easing my weight onto it gradually kind of reminded it what it's supposed to do. Weird, but encouraging. The ankle was still sore and swollen, but at least I wasn't limping. I'm going to see if I can recreate that today!
So I'll either swim or walk today, we'll see which. Who's next?
Re: Day 37 of 100 - a breakthrough?
I walked the dog last night for 20 minutes and spent some time playnig with him outside during the day. I have to say I was in a real funk and after the walk I felt better.
This morning I ran a slow 3 miles which felt great when I was done, but not too great while I was running. I'm thinking my running days are numbered. I feel like I have to pee the whole time.
I'm glad your foot is feeling better!
Yummy!! That sound like a great morning!
Same old same old for me- yoga tonight and walking/work workouts!
