Good-bye motorcycle (and other pre-baby hobbies)

Today is the last day of having my sportsbike. This is the end of an era. My husband have been married for almost 10 years and this has been our biggest hobby the whole time. I know that we'll get new hobbies that will be a different kind of fun- but I'm kinda sad that "just hubby and me" time is going to be over soon...

Anyone else already starting to think about this?

    Our friends live far away I actually can't wait till we have a couple kids old enough to play board games with and take to places we love.

     

    I still hope we'll have our alone/adult time - kids take over so much, i know we'll have to work to make our marriage a priority.

     

    Can you go for one last ride - or is that not allowed?

    There's no reason I can think of that you have to say goodbye to every pre-baby hobby.  Having time with just your husband is even more important after you have kids.  Granted you may not be able to do these things as often, and you'll want to start family activities, too, but don't let having a baby change everything you do together.  It's okay to leave your child (when they get a little older) with relatives or a good friend and go away for a day, or even overnight, to do things as a couple.  And it will keep your marriage stronger, too.

     I've been riding since I found out I was pregnant (much to the chagrin of my neighbor, but fully approved by my family doctor! We are going out one last time after work tonight before the insurance lapses.  

    I agree that it's going to be important to maintain some time with the hubby... but I'm scared that things between us are going to change no matter what....
