Sitting on the floor with DS1 in the playroom. He's laying on his belly making "whoo, whoo!" sounds pushing his trains around the track, and he's handing me a train to take a turn after him.
I want as much of this as I can take before DS2 gets here. I am not regretting our decision to have a 2nd child, I'm just really appreciating my DS1 today. I can't wait to watch them play and even the fighting, but I think I'm going to miss some of these playtimes alone with him.
Do you ladies with 2 occasionally schedule "date nights" with each kid?

Day Three
Yes I do. Last weekend I took DS to the beach/pool and we had a blast being one on one. During the day, I also try to take advantage of the time DD is asleep so we can just be alone and play.
And honestly, moments like the one you mentioned are SO much sweeter with DD here who laughs hysterically at her big brother.
I was worried about this my entire pg! But honestly newborns sleep a lot and our time together wasn't impacted all that much for the first three months, so you ease into it!
That said, we definitely trade off one on one time with each kid.

I agree. I had many times when eitehr child was sleeping to play with the other. Now I put DD to sleep 45 mins before DS and we cuddle and talk. I do have to say that they love being around each other and aren't that happy when the other isnt there.
