I didn't find anything good on google, so I thought I would ask here. I gave DS a peanut butter sandwich two days ago. He loved it and I didn't see any immediate reactions. Flash forward to today and he just had a very stinky and runny mucousy poop (sorry for the TMI). Could this be a reaction to PB? That was the only new food he has had in the past week. He is also a MPSI baby (but does fine with cheese and yogurt).

Re: Peanut Butter reaction
i think it's possible. Be careful b/c most reactions happen on the second exposure. So do it with caution or better yet, call your pedi / allergist and ask if you should give it to him again or wait for a reaction.
My son touched a piece of egg and played with and was fine. Next time we had eggs and i gave it to him to play with it (so we can finish eating) and he had a full blown ana reaction.. and that's the reason you introduce foods multiple times before going to the next food b/c if there is an allergy it will be on the second reaction.
hopefully that is a good sign and the poop may just be from something else. I would call the pedi and see what she says. I have seen kids with Food Allergies having mucousy poop on this board but usually it's to dairy / soy / eggs..
DS pnb reaction is butt/diaper/poo related. His butt looks like it's been smacked extremely hard and he gets a weeping diaper rash.
He get's a milder version of the above from strawberries.
