I had a very unpleasant return experience with Target recently. I received 3 or 4 similar items (all designed for white noise & lullabies for the nursery). I selected which one I wanted and returned the others. Well, one of them was not marked on the purchase log and I did not have a gift receipt. The price they wanted to give me was $20 less than the advertised price. Um, no. I decided to just return the other one instead.
So, I've been hormonal against Target for the past week. I've also been watching our travel system waiting for it to go on sale. Yesterday, I decided that we needed to go ahead and order it because this baby may come before the sale does. Today, I see that the travel system AND the extra base I ordered yesterday are now ON SALE! However, the color I ordered is out of stock, so rep could not tell if it would've been on sale if it was not in stock. I send her to the exact same system, but different color that is listed as in-stock and on sale. She explains that it may have just been that particular one in that particular color that was placed on sale, but will check with her supervisor. She puts me on hold and I brace myself to be ticked off yet again within a week with this store. However, she returns to tell me that her supervisor has made an exception for me and that we will be credited the difference!
YAY! Happy preggernaut. ![]()
Re: Target redeemed themselves!
Yay!
And FWIW, when I was pg with DD I was able to go online, mark an item as "purchased," print off the registry at home to bring in with me, and exchange the item.
I'm not saying it'll work everywhere, but it's worth a shot.
That's great about the travel system!
I'm also more relaxed that I'm not the only one that just ordered mine!
Ha ha, I have been calling myself the 'preggernaut' at work all month
Though my DH is allowed to call me the 'preggopotomous'
so, you were already pissed at target because they were going to give you what was most likely the lowest sale price on an item you didn't have a receipt for? Every single retailer has the same policy.
and then, you were going to be more pissed off if they didn't allow you a price match on a sale price when, most likely, the item you wanted the match on wasn't on sale?
you're completely irrational.
