Does LO sleep through the night?

Ashton is 5 months old and still wakes up twice during the night to nurse. Please tell me he isnt the only one not sleeping straight thru.

Re: Does LO sleep through the night?

  • I nurse and he is up twice per night...usually once about 6-8 hours after he goes to sleep, then anywhere from 2-4 hours after that.

**And it's never 8 hours then 4 hours!! I should be too lucky!

  • 5.5 months, here. He doesn't STTN. I don't really expect him to until he is weaned and that hopefully will not be any time soon. If he does STTN before then--great. But, I am not sweating it. Everything I know about infant sleep, little tummies, and BFing tell me that it is very normal and healthy to wake. He wakes about every 3 hours overnight. He's done a few 5-6 hour stints, but not when I'm sleeping, LOL!
  • Thanks ladies for making me feel better. My friends who bottle feed say their babies sleep all night why doesnt mine? I just needed a little reassurance my little guy wasnt the only one.
  • Most nights, yes.  Every now and then she will wake up as we are going to bed, or around 3 AM.

  • No, he is not anywhere close to sttn. he wakes up at least twice, if not three times a night. hes still ebf so im wondering if once we start adding solid food if it will make a difference. its not that important to me anymore though, i guess im just used to it now. it would be awesome if he did, but ive accepted that it probably wont happen for a while. and sorry about the no caps and limited punctuation...posting from my phone is weird.
