Can anyone tell me what Femara costs? My insurance does not cover any thing fertility related. I was filling Clomid at Target and it was less than $20 for 5 (50 MG) pills. Just curious what the cost difference is, my doctor is going to switch me to Femara next month.

Re: Cost of Femara
Femara is covered by most insurances because it is not marketed as a fertility treatment. It is not FDA approved for fertility so the insurance doesn't recognize it as a fertility drug.
My copay was $30.00 no matter the amount of pills I was prescribed. However, I used a coupon from the Femara website and got it for free one month and for $10.00 a few times. Check their websites periodically for current offers.
ETA: Without my insurance, my prescription would have been $440.00 per month.
Mine was $40 and I also don't have IF coverage. They covered it anyway.
After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!

Mine is also a $30 co-pay for the brand name, and thankfully my RE wrote for 20 pills so I got 2 months worth for that $30. However it is now out in generic so it should only be $12 on my generic copay.
It should be covered if you have prescription coverage. You may still wanna see if your RE will write for brand name only so you can do that free coupon thing.

Mine was not covered by insurance because they must have been onto something (using it for IF as opposed to Chemo). It wasn't prescribed as it normally is.
Femara was $75 for 5 pills at Costco and that was the cheapest place I found. I was prescribed Letrozole with this last cycle and it was $7.01 for pills at Costco. It was definitely cheaper to go with the generic.
