anal-retentive first time mommas....

I just got one of these... I thought I'd share because it's relatively cheap and the idea is PERFECT for someone like me (anal-retentive overly obsessive and sometimes too 'prepared' for my own good). It's a book to keep track of the poops, pees, feedings, sleepings... and everything in-between for the first two months.

  • I found one for about half the price on amazon but it's not as tidy looking.

  • I honestly don't think there's anything anal retentive about this.  Having this information can be incredibly useful.  Especially, if your LO has a FTT issue.

  • I actually think that's a good idea.  With DD I did my own spreadsheet for each day with sleep times, wets, dirties, and when she ate.  I just printed out a sheet for each 24 hour period and logged as necessary.

Super useful! I made up my own sheets with DS to keep track of everything. The dr. will want to know how often eating, sleeping etc and it will help you to get things on schedule and know the baby is on the right track:)
  • I made my own with my DD and it was super helpful!  When you are sleep deprived, it's easy to confuse the last time you really changed a dirty diaper or to remember how much little one drank at the last feeding.

And when we had some issues with her, I just took my sheets to our pedi and she loved that I kept such good notes!

  • lurking, but I loved my baby brain iphone app.

Highly recommend it, because your phone is easy to keep in your pocket, and will probably be on you all the time, because it entertains you while you're stuck nursing/bottlefeeding or being napped on!
