~~*Wednesday Workout Check-in*~~

Hump day ladies!  Anyone got a mid-week workout to share?

We finally got some rain here, so if it's raining when I get home, I'll probably head straight to the gym.  Plan on elliptical and bike.  If it stays nice and cool (aka below 85) I'll take the dog running this evening too.  He didn't go out last night, so I'm sure he's ready.

    Lol, well thanks!  I force myself to go sometimes, I'm not always cheery about it.  I just try to remember how good I feel afterwards and how good it is for me and baby.  I even talked the DH into a short walk last night after dinner because I felt stuffed! 

  • i worked out for the first time yesterday in over a month.  i did a weight-lifting class at 24 hour fitness and i couldn't believe how far i had regressed just from taking a 5 week break.  SADNESS!!

    DH finally set up the elliptical, tv, weights and mats in the basement, so now we have our own little gym! 

    We talked this morning and decided one of us will do 30/40 min on the elliptical and the other will do weights...and then we'll switch!

    I hope it works out and he/I don't collapse on the couch beforehand!

  • Does shopping at Costco count as working out? What about lugging a 15 month old around while your doing it? LOL! Too much to do today!

    Good for you!  I lifted before pregnancy and even though I know better, it makes me nervous to continue for some reason.  I lifted fairly heavy weights and I know all I need to do it tone it down, but I'm just worried about overdoing it. 

  • I made it 30 minutes biking today, an hour yesterday. I also mowed the lawn which turned out to be a bigger workout than I expected!

    Side question, Lab....how was your anniversary?!

    It was great!  DH surprised me at home early (he skipped class) with flowers and cupcakes from this really good & popular bakery called Crave.  We had a nice evening watching TV on the couch and enjoying being together without him having to work on anything!  We're going to Brennan's for dinner on Saturday night- I can't wait!  Thanks for asking.

  • I went to Strong, but I had to cut out of class early.  I was had a weird stretching going on in my stomach that did not feel very good.  I did not want to take any chances so I just went home early.

  • I ran 1.5 miles and walked another 1/2 mile. Then DS and I went to the playground where I chased him around, lifted him up and down and played for 30 min. Wanted to go for a walk this afternoon but it started to rain.

  • I just got in from an hour of push mowing the lawn. We have a storm going over right now, if it passes quickly then I am going to go out and walk for at least 2 miles. I am loving having a normal level of energy again. I guess the extra sleep I am getting is probably helping out. Wink

    Yeah, you are my hero too- I have been struggling to get back to working out now that I'm not spending most of my time with my head in the toilet! Been starting back slowly, just walks, mostly, since I really didn't do much of anything for the past 6 weeks :( Took a 40 min walk with the hubby tonight after dinner, and I was dragging ass- so sad, but I just feel so exhausted still! Hoping that I start getting more energy back soon- I'd really like to get back in the gym soon!

  • does baking chocolate chip cookies count? Pushing the on button on the mixer made me sweat! heeheee...I missed my workout tonight. Tomorrow is a new day!

  • I rode the exercise bike for 30 mins and used the arm weights.  There's nothing better than your man surprising you.. I'm glad you guys had a good anniversary!!
