If you're at your pre-pg weight...

who's depressed about the way they look still!?! I hit my pre-pg weight this week and I'm appalled! I don't know how on earth I weigh the same. I don't look smaller than pre-pg anywhere on my body, but my stomach still looks pg. I know I was overweight when I got pg, but my stomach didn't look this bad. I have the c/s "pouch" that's for sure, but I was hoping for a little more! I know I'll get there in time though.

Re: If you're at your pre-pg weight...

  • I am actually below my pre-preg weight, but my stomach definitely doesn't look the same. It is just the way things are. I have a lot of toning to do and takes time for the pouch to go away.

  • I have 3lbs to go but my belly makes it look like I have another 10+ to drop. Its so flabby. And trust me I did not have a flat stomach before but this is so different! I better get to work with some ab exercises!

  • I just hit my pre-pg weight and definitely don't look like I used to. And none of my pre-pg pants/shorts fit. With DS it took almost a full year for my hips to return to their original position and for the rest of me to really tone up again. I'm praying it doesn't take that long again!

  • I'm within 5 pounds and I hate my stomach. It is just so flabby. I have been to scared of messing up my back again to do anything about it.

  • I'm at my pre-pg weight, but none of my pre-pg clothes fit.  My fat jeans are tight still.  Most of the time I'm still in maternity pants :(

i actually love everything but my arms - which ive always hated.

i never cared for my tummy and i love it so much more now for some reason - it is different in a good way.

  • I'm back to the same weight but my stomach definitely isn't the same... hating the muffin top! Calming my fussy baby on the exercise ball for hours a day is helping tone a bit...

  • I'm at my pre-preg weight and fit in my pre-preg clothes, but I'm still not happy. I didn't like my body before I was pregnant. I actually felt better about my body when I was pregnant. At least a big tummy was cute then. I'd like to get back to my wedding weight.

  • Like almost everyone said, I'm back to the prepregnancy weight, but it looks soooo different, clothes don't fit the same, and I think I look about 10-15 lbs heavier than I did before I was pregnant.  Oh, and my arms are super chunky.

  • I'm at my pre-pg weight but have a pooch and it's soooo ugly! and the crazy thing is, my jeans are too big so i went to the next size down for jeans and they make my tummy stick out....I feel so unattractive

  • I'm actually the opposite...I am toning and getting results...but not even close to my PP weight.  I don't know what's worse, but I am definitely depressed by my body.

This is me right about now.  I am about 18lbs below my pre-pg weight but yet my gut is is still very doughy & flabby.  I didn't have a flat stomach before, but my stomach was never this jiggly.

I guess I'm the only one that still has some to lose. I have 7 lbs to go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight.  My stomach isn't awful, but my butt and thighs are atrocious. Ugh.

I'm 6lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight.  But my stomach doesn't look like it.  I had a small pudge before I got pregnant, but noone noticed it but me.  The stomach I have now is terrible.  It's not big, but it's too big for me & it's all jiggly.  I don't like the way it looks in some of my clothes.  And these boobs are huge.  Some of my dresses/tops don't fit because of it.

  • I am 4lbs under right now, but my body is a whole different shape. Old clothes fit, but they don't look great. I definitely get the muffin top if I wear some of my old pants. And I also have the c-section "pouch".

  • I'm within my normal pre-pregnancy range, but my belly has the extra skin from pregnancy, and it looks flabby and gross.  I've been doing ab exercises to help pull in everything, but the muscles obviously can't suck in the skin and fat that are layered above them.  It's frustrating because I've always been active and fit, and have worked hard for this body, but there's nothing (short of surgery) that I can do about the extra skin.

I haven't really looked at my butt or thighs critically because I haven't been running yet (just started really walking last week), and I'm afraid to look!  My six-week appointment is Thursday (DD was born 5/10), and I should be cleared to start working out again.  Can't wait!

You're not alone!  I still have 10 to go and my stomach is horrid! I'm trying to remember that he was a BIG baby and i carried him all in my tummy! But YIKES...it's gunna take a lot of time.  I'm ignoring swim suit season this year and calling it capri season :)

  • I'm just about at PP weight, and my entire body shape has changed.  My waist is smaller but my hips are wider and boobs are bigger... I actually like this shape better!  My belly is still kind of puffy, but I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to work on it.  The worst part is the discoloration - still have my linea negra and my stomach seems darker than the rest of my body!!  Definitely could use some toning up though.

  • Yep, I feel the same way.

I definitely need to add some weight training to my workouts.

Um. I have about 35 pounds to lose. Seriously. I think my body just wigged out during pregnancy or something. You all talked about indulging in certain foods during your pregnancies, and I wasn't exactly a health nut, but I still don't see how I gained as much as I did.

I just picked up my full-length mirror which I had left at the college before Liam was born. (The Theatre Department used it for a prop for a show). I realized (in clothes, at least) that I don't look horrible, but everything's really, really different.

My mom gained 90 pounds with my older sister! (who ended up being premature and about 2 1/2 lbs). She was 100 before pg and ended up right back down to it again! Don't worry, you can do it!

This makes me feel SO much better. I keep thinking, "How did I gain almost 60 pounds to have a 5 pound baby?" I keep mentioning my teeny tiny size 0 co-worker who gained 60 pounds with each pregnancy and lost it every time... She's my Obi-Wan Kenobe right now, and now I'll add your mom's story to the mix ;-) Thanks!

I'm about where you are.. I have about 30lbs to lose to get down to PP weight. I'm trying to watch my portion sizes and last night I did my Wii Zumba for the first time and holy crap am I out of shape!

I've realized I'm not going to be able to do anything about my hips, but if I can get the stomach toned a bit (it's likely not going to get back to what it was) and my thighs and butt back down I'll be happy.

  • I'm 20lbs under (started out overweight, and still have more to lose) but my belly is this gross, flabby, hanging, stretch mark riddled thing. It seriously depresses me, its so gross.
