If they aren't used a lot (up/down/up/down) I would gather them in a tight wad up at the top and put a zip tie around them. If you do use them a lot I would replace them with the cordless ones.
They FREAK me out! My sister is an ER nurse and has seen 2 cases where a child accidentally hung themselves with the cords. There are none in my house now! Scary!
I know there are kits you can buy to keep the cords up. We don't have any in our house. After hearing of too many accidents from cords we switched to pull down shades.

We have the little winding up child proof things made by Safety First. Its just a little circle thing that you wrap the cord up in.
Yep - it's called a cord keeper. We have them on all of our mini-blinds. You wind the cord around the base and the clip the cover on top to keep it all in one place.

Bump fart...
Thank you for posting this! It's exactly what we need.
I put two nails into the wall up at the top of the blinds and wrapped the cord around those (kind of like you would with a vacuum cleaner cord).
By the time LO can reach that, she'll be in middle school and will hopefully know better.
