Any ideas on how to keep your cat out of the crib. We finally have the bedding on the crib and put a sheet over it, but my cat still likes to jump in and play. I shut the door now when I am not home but when i am in there he follows. Thought about getting a crib tent or netting. Any other suggestions?
Re: cat in the...crib
Before my DD got here we tried it all: We put tin foil in the crib and the pack in play. Worked prett well so that when she jumped on it, it scared her. You can also try balloons. Eventually though we just decided to keep the door to the nursery closed and we use a fan outside the door to keep the cat away from her door. GL!
Honestly we are keeping the nursery door shut at all times (when she isn't in there and when she is in there, it doesn't matter). I have one cat that loves to be in everything! I haven't given her the chance to jump in the crib, but I know she would in a heartbeat and I do not want her in the baby's room at all.
Ps. A spray bottle works quite well with keeping my cat off things (she literally runs at the sight of it, I don't even have to use it half the time!). However, you have to catch the kitty in the act for that to work.
I keep the doors to my bedroom and my nursery shut at all times. I figure since the cats have the whole house to roam around in, I want a cat-free zone
Other than keeping the door shut, I don't know what else to suggest to you. The crib tent sounds like a good idea, though!
This is a good idea BUT I don't think duct tape would be a good idea stick to using masking tape or double sided tape so you don't hurt your cats feet.
This is what I am hoping for. The cats have not gone in the crib, but they have gone in the cradle. Hopefully once the baby comes they will not want to anymore.
