This blows.  We live in a rental.  Today it was 105* here.  At 540 our A/c went out (10 min after the main office closes of course).  They do not consider this an emergency so if we call the emergency number they will charge us.  We left for dinner and stayed out late so the house would cool off.  It is 10pm now and it is still 88* outside and it is 82* in our house.  I left a message on the office phone and in the am DH will put in a request (he leaves for work before they open).  But it is going to be 102-105 again tomorrow and besides being hugely pregnant I have 2 2.5 year olds.  It is just way to damn hot.  My kids and I may be playing in my shower all day tomorrow.

    ugh!!  that sucks!  I hope that they can get it fixed early today!!  sounds like a good sprinkler day! :)

    It seems to me that in heat like that it would be an emergency. It's not like it's 80 degrees and you're just complaining. 102-105 is dangerously high. I would think that maybe you could get the charge waived if you got a doctor's note since you are very pregnant.

    That is very dangerous for you and the babies. If they don't fix it soon, definitely go to someones house and/or a store. Good luck!

    Our appartment would consider that an emergancy as well. Do you and the boys want to come over? I know it is a long drive but we have a/c and a pool! Give me a call if you do. Otherwise I agree with pp that today is the day for a playdate at a friend's house or a trip to the children's museum or something.
