I spent several years in FL and then a single year hitchhiking around the country doing Rainbow Gatherings and the last West Coast Dead tour before coming back and settling down as an adult.

I live in a far NW suburb of Chicago called : Lake in the Hills. I grew up in the town next door - Algonquin but when I worked my television sales career I lived in Cedar Rapids, IA at CBS, Huntington & Charleston, WV for NBC, and Milwaukee, WI for ABC before meeting my husband and moving back "home".
I'm happy I got to move around a bit before moving back so that I could truly see just how great this place is. When I was a kid all I wanted to do was move away!

IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

Yeah, it's insanely expensive... we are incredibly lucky that DH's grandmother bought a big property decades and decades ago, and it has stayed in the family! Otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford it either.
If it makes you feel any better, it wasn't much better here today... high 90s pushing 100. Ugh. Why did the weather in Norcal go from freezing to scorching overnight, with hardly any nice weather inbetween.

FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!
I have family that lives in Rochester and in Batavia, NY. And my best friend lives in Penfield!
