i called them "the babies" from day 1 for the most part... esp since they are boys and i have an older boy - i can't say "the boys" if i'm just talking about the babies.... but they are 2y/o now and i will need to stop calling them that soon!
at Dh's 20th HS reunion i was newly pg with the twins - and he kept introducing me "This is my wife, Gail, and here are the twins"... keep in mind, I didn't have much of a belly then- so every guy thought he was talking about my boobs!
I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

We were Team Green, so it was always "the babies." I'm 12 weeks pg now and it feels weird to say "baby" instead of "babies." I keep accidentally referring to him/her as "the singleton." I feel bad each time I say it and DH laughs at me!
It's not easy living in Minnesota. Everytime I say "the twins" people automatically think I'm talking about the baseball team.
Now I love the Twins to pieces, but that phrase has a new meaning these days. The team's motto "This is Twins Territory" has double meaning in our house. So I just refer to them as "the girls" and we avoid confusion that way. LOL!

We already call our dogs "the girls" (two of our dogs are female pugs) so now it is questionable about which set of girls he is talking about at times.
