Just bought a doppler!!!

I just got a fetal doppler on ebay for $25 (including shipping)!!! I wasn't sure if I wanted to get one, but for that price, I just couldn't pass it up lol. Can't wait to listen to Baby Ram's heartbeat =D

awesome!! Just don't freak out if you have trouble finding the hb this early on. Mine was delivered on sat and i read online that if you haven't found it in 10mns that you should stop after that. I still haven't found my LOs HB and I am trying not to freak out.. lol. But I told myself if I was going to buy it that I wasn't allowed to freak out if I couldn't find the hb.

ETA: the 10mn rule wasn't b/c they didn't want you to freak out- but it was something about safety... I will try and find the link again!

I'm already trying to convince myself not to freak if I don't hear it at first. I had an appt with my doc last friday and they found it within seconds (but I'm also telling myself that their equipment might be a million times better than mine lol).

yeah i think it can depend on what kind of probe you have. I really didn't know the difference between the 3mghz and 2mghz. At least for being the right probe for the right stage in your pregnancy.

I want one soooo bad but DH (a med student) is too worried that I'll freak out if I can't find a HB since it's early. I am trying to claim that I wouldn't but that might not be true...*sigh*!

Awesome! Which one did you get?

I'm still trying to decide whether I want to get one or not, but i'm going to wait and make sure the Dr. can find it on Friday first. I'm optimistic about this pregnancy, but on the off chance something has happened, I certainly don't want that showing up at my door step a few days later.

I still haven't found it on mine either and I'm 12 weeks.
