Success after IF

Anyone use Benefiber or Miralax for their toddlers?

Just wanted to see if you thought they were effective and if you dealt with any side effects?

Thanks!

  • we have been using miralax for DD since august 2010..a lttile too long for my liking but it works wonder...we think DD has emotional constipatio since she eats healthy but seem afraid to go if it not a soft stool...althoug pedi has assured me miralax is harmless  and does not get absorbed by the body, we have started to mix it with benefiber and hopefully weann completely from miralax...DD doesn't need it every day anymore but she used to get it every day...good luck

  • Hi Jen!!

I swear by flax seed oil. I just put a tsp in her morning smoothie or in her oatmeal.

  • Dr. Sears reccomends flax seed meal.  I've used it with Caroline and it works WONDERS.  One tablespoon in her breakfast every morning and it is soft poop city ;-)
