I know, he's pretty pathetic, but the Motrin helps so much more than Tylenol. Thanks for that! Every morning I keep thinking "OK this is the day they're going to have cut through" and nothing yet. I can see them so I know they're close, but man...

I hope that today is the day! Recently with Cooper's first of his 2 year molars we went through weeks of crap and I could feel the suckers just ready to start shredding the gums. Then he's all happy and sleeping again so I go to check and WTF? Gone, totally effing gone! No more swelling, no lump, NADA. Damn teeth went back down and we had to do it all over again a month or so later. Thank god that now that his 2nd one is coming up it's just coming and not playing peekaboo.
Also, if it gets really bad you can alternate the Motrin and Tyelonol. So for example.
8am-Motrin
12-Tylenol
2pm-Motrin
5pm-Tylenol
8pm-Motrin
I sort of made up times but you can even give them right on top of each other. Spreading it out helps you make it to the next Motrin dose much easier on really bad days. Also, of all the weird things that helped my kids, sweet pickles to gnaw on. I think we've owned every single teether made and sweet pickles and sometimes carrots were the only things they actually liked to chew on. The carrots made me nervous but they always did well with the pickles.
