I don't know about you but we've had the weirdest weather this season, but my garden is doing pretty well.

What's growing for you so far? What's going well, what's not so great?

I've already picked peppers, squash and cucumbers. they are all doing well. My green beans are somewhat weak so far. Sunflowers growing like weeds. Tomato plants growing and I have some beautiful green tomatoes. Zucchini has lots of blooms but I haven't picked anything yet. Strawberries did well but they are about done now.

Things are just getting started here in the north. Stick out tongue

But I have green raspberries that we're waiting on to ripen. I also saw my first tiny green tomato last night. My pepper plants, green onions, and leeks are doing fantastic as well, but my turnips seem to all have been eaten by something. Boo!

Yeah - we're farther north and we have a big ol' nothing. It's been a horible year for the garden. We've lost a cucumber plant and our basil is on death's door (but we're hoping it may revive). We do have some flowers on a tomato plant, but really, it's not looking great this year. It's been way too cold.

We planted late and I don't think I remembered to add compost to the soil. So, pretty much everything failed except for the corn and some green bean plants. The corn is around a foot high, but is shooting up quickly. I need to add some compost and replant some things this week, so thanks for the reminder!

I'm in Ohio and we had over a month of straight rain without sunshine, so our gardens are looking pretty pathetic. Our peas are just now flowering. We also have flowers on our tomato plants. Beans, okra, cucumbers and peppers are looking really sad, but hopefully will perk up soon. Our lettuce was also a total fail this year. The only thing we've really had luck with so far are radishes, which you can't really mess up

Our weather has been crummy too but so far I've harvested all our radishes (which grew so well, I was amazed). We have sweet peas that have bloomed, our strawberries have flowered, the red potatoes went crazy, carrots are doing really good, we have a lot of bush bean plants but they're growing pretty slow. Our tomatoes and peppers are just now flowering, so we'll see. The zucchini, cucumber, acorn, butternut, and pumpkin haven't flowered yet. I'm impatiently waiting.

We really need some solid sunshine and my garden will really take off.

So far the only things I've harvested is rhubarb (and lots of it!), and chives. But everything else has popped up & is growing. We've just had a ton of rain, and the forecast is calling for sun all week. This year I planted: beets, swiss chard, carrots, spinach, onions and garlic. I still may buy some tomato plants, but I'm feeling pretty unmotivated at this juncture in my pregnancy.

we just have a few raised beds

doing well:

strawberries, blueberries, blackberries [peak will be in about a month or so], sorrel, onions, garlic, fennel, pole beans, snap peas, cabbage, meyer lemons

re-trying [haven't done well before but we're trying again]:

zucchini, lemon cucumber, tomatoes [we had them in pots and now we're trying in the ground], jalape?o, eggplant

We are just doing a few things this year. We moved last year and are still trying to get the rest of our yard in order. I miss our huge garden from our old house!

We've got a few tomato plants, lots of peppers (various types, sweet, jalapeno, etc), okra, loofah, dragonfruit (so excited about this, I hope they produce), and we just put a lime tree in, which probably won't fruit for another year or two.

We haven't harvested anything yet except lettuce and herbs. We have blooms on our peppers, tomatoes, zucchini and eggplant. We would have had peas if the d@mn groundhogs hadn't gotten into the garden and eaten them all. They also stripped the leaves off our cucumber plants but those seem to be bouncing back. They ate some of the carrot tops too but left enough that we should be able to pick some soon. Our scallions, green beans, pumpkins, squash and watermelon are still just sprouts.

Rabbits. Stick out tongue

I am not pleased with the fuzzy little beasts. My lettuce was fine...they didn't seem to care about that. I got a lot of salads out of the patch before they started to go to seed on me (much earlier than I expected). My tomatoes and peppers have been eaten down to stubs. My peas and green beans look ok, but the bunnies seem to be going after the blossoms rather than the leaves, which is probably going to mess with my yeild. My blueberry bushes never recovered from the early spring munching they sustained.

I hearby declare war on the rabbits.
