So, relaxin makes us "looser" during the pregnancy, which I never really noticed (I didn't have back pain etc. that is usually chalked up to it, nothing I can think of) but now a month PP, I feel super "tight". Not muscles, but tendons/ligaments feel tight. Leaning over to get the baby out of the swing or leaning across the bed, and reaching for things, my ankles and wrists feel super tight, as in I feel like they could snap if I am not careful about my position. But I just checked with Dr. Google and it seems like it takes 5 months for relaxin levels to return to normal. So I should still have more, not less. I also have no scientific basis for thinking this tightness is in anyway related to the relaxin, it just seemed like a common sense type assumption.
Anyone have any similar experience?
