Is this a good deal? Medela PIS ?

Baby Depot had the Medela PIS tote or Back Pack for $219.99 you also get Lanolin cream (2oz) and 60 disposable nursing pads.

What is the advantage of the toe vs backpack vs metro bag?

I have a PIS from 2003 but I think I may get a new one. I am on the fence. The motor works great but they don't' make all the same accessories so I can't replace everything.

  • My only caution against getting the PISA from Baby Depot is their return policy. I was drawn in by the price but looked at their "due to sanitary reasons we do not accept returns of this product."

Ok cool, understandable. I sent them an email to clarify and they do not accept returns of the product, period. Even if it is unopened, broken, etc. they will still not accept a return.

  • That sounds like a good price.

I have two PISAs - one backpack and one tote. The only difference is the bag. Personally, I prefer the tote to the backpack but I see more women with the backpack.

  • You have to be careful buying it too early too, from what I understand the warranty starts the day you buy it.  I bought mine at like 25 weeks, but returned it to Target and I plan on buying it in a few weeks so I don't waste 4 months of the warrenty....please correct me if I am wrong about when the warranty starts though!

That is my understanding as well. Warranty begins from date of purchase, not date of use.
