My DD wore a Lazer BOB infant helmet up until a couple of months ago. It has a flat back and is ideal for when kiddo is riding in a trailer because it doesn't push their head forward. It was also the only helmet that fit her for a long time. It still fits her and will for a while - it has a great adjuster in the back.
When we bought our Madsen cargo bike, we switched to a GiroMe2 infant to toddler helmet. I don't like that the Lazer lacks a visor, as the sun is directly on my DD now that she is not protected by the trailer.
However, the Giro is a cheap piece of plastic and I hate it. It's already falling apart. The Lazer still looks brand new after using it for almost two years.
I will probably be purchasing a Bern helmet for her soon.
DD has a Specialized Little Fry helmet in green. We like it because she likes it. It is apparently comfy and stylish for her. She loves wearing it around the house. I like the adjusting knob in the back and that it is Snell-compliant (higher level than the usual safety standard). It has a little visor build into the front, but I don't think it is big enough to do much. She doesn't ride a real bike yet, but I make sure she wears it when she uses ride-on toys outside, like her beloved "Bikey". I am looking at her helmet right now and realized that she removed the foam padding, so I guess I need to hunt that down before she uses it again.
