Here's the pic of my hair from the back/side. It's really loose already after 2 days and 1 washing. In fact, the bottom layers are practically straight. BUT, I'm glad I did it. It's easy, low maintenance. I can just wash my hair, put in some product, and let it air dry. If I want it to look more polished, I'll probably have to curl some of it with a curling iron. Or learn how to blow dry it. From what I've seen online, you just twirl it with your fingers and kinda scrunch it up to get those bigger, bouncier waves.
The top is straight because he didn't put any chemicals that close to the root because I didn't want it to be too tight.
Re: Pic: Digital perm
It's nice and beachy! Plus like you said you could easily curl it to get more curls.
I like it, it looks purdy!!

Thanks, ladies!
I paid $120, but I think my stylist is pretty cheap compared to most. He only charges $35 for a haircut and he's really good. He has amazing reviews on yelp.
He also doesn't charge for the cut when you perm or color, although most stylists do.
$35 for a haircut, that is so incredibly reasonable!

I'm kind of afraid it's going to be straight in a few days because the under layers already are. I was so afraid of it being TOO curly but now I'm afraid of the opposite. If I could have stood it, I would have waited another day to shampoo but I think the chemicals made me sick. I was SO nauseous all day yesterday. (And I'm 100% sure I'm not pg!)
I'm going to ask my hairdresser about it next time I'm in, I'm really loving it!
I tried to make my hair wavey today... BIG FAIL! it's now in a ponytail!

My hair is colored, too, but it's been a long time since I colored it so I think it's okay. It is pretty dry already, though. My stylist told me I just needed some kind of hair oil. I got Organix Moroccan Argan Oil so I put that on while it's damp and just scrunch it. Then I got Lucido-L Hair Cream to put in when it's dry. I read about it on a blog. It's a Japanese product and was lucky enough to find it at a Japanese store near my house. I like it so far. Definitely seems to help with the dryness.
