Cincinnati Babies

anyone know of this type of place for infants?

My mom was watching O yesterday and she remembered when I was his age taking me to a place/class where they had a rubber or soft floor and tons of soft climbing objects- so he could crawl up and then "slide" down little obstacles.  Sounds like something he would love right now!  Anyone know of a place like that- looked online but didn't see anything that sounded quite like that.

Thanks!

  • We started taking Nicholas to Totter Otterville when he was about the same age as your son and they have a room their that is all padded with climbing stuff and its for kids 18 months and younger so you don't have to worry about them getting trampled by big kids. An even bigger plus is that it's free for kids under age 1!

  • The one on Columbia doesn't have anything on Fridays.  Does that mean it is closed?  I am confused as to what exactly Gymboree is.  Is it only classes?  Or is there open play?

Gymboree has classes based on age ranges... so we go to the 16-22 month age range and do activities based on the ages. They have a wide variety of classes on different days. They recently stopped having classes on Fridays because of very low attendance.

They have play & learn classes, art class and music. We do them all. They have a few "open play" times as well... I think there are usually 4-5 classes a week in each age range. You can go to as many as you want.

Every week there is a different theme (up & down... soft & hard, etc) the instructor will give you different activities to do based on the theme for the week.. (They have a huge room with slides, balls, mats, climbing, etc) At the end of every class they do bubbles, songs and the parachute. Each class is 50 minutes.

You can try a free trial class to see how you like it. We love it! HTH

  • Thanks for the info!  I would only be able to go on Fridays, so it looks like there is nothing for us.  Boooooooo!  That sounds perfect.

Have you checked out Jumpin Joeys?  https://jumpinjoeysgym.com/

We used to go to the one in Milford, and they closed and were bought by CIA of Cincinnati.  I haven't been there since, but I think this might be what you're looking for.

And ditto Totter's Otterville for another location to go..
